2026 Wildwood Gators Dive Team

Dive Team Director, Dr. Tim Jones will be coaching again on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Coach Jones, who has a long and impressive diving and coaching history, helps us maintain our diving boards and assists our Wildwood Dive Coaching Staff in both Regular Season and City Meet preparation. We are fortunate to have him lead our dive program. He will be assisted again this summer by Head Dive Coach Hannah Babcock and Assistant Coaches, Anna Peak and Pascal Landman.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

  • Like last year, we will coordinate practice times with Swim Team practice between 9:00am-11:30am Mon-Thurs.

  • If there are divers not on the swim team who want to practice during "away swim meets", we will have coaches available. Conversely, on home meet dates, since the pool will be open until 12:30pm, dive practice will continue at the normal times before the pool closes at 12:30p for the meet prep.

  • Also, to facilitate additional, individual practice, our lifeguards will allow all Dive Team Members to perform all their dives at any time during regular pool hours when wearing the designated Dive Team wrist/ankle band. Specific age group dive practice times will be detailed later.

BASIC SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Dive team members must be able to swim from the board to the wall, unassisted and be able to follow coaches and lifeguard directions regarding safety. Floaties of any type are not permitted.

DIVE TEAM FEES: The registration fee is $135 for the season and divers may attend the April 12th swim team fitting at BSTC to order a swimsuit.

PRACTICE TIMES

Dive Coach hours this season are between 9:00am - 11:00am to allow for any aged diver that may also participate in swim team and/or one of our tennis programs to participate in dive practice during these hours. We want to provide the most flexibility for our Gators to do more than one activity.

Evening practices (ages 7+): 6:00pm-8:00pm, Mondays and Wednesdays - lead by Tim Jones

Meet the Coaches

  • Tim Jones- Diving Director & Coach

    For over 30 years Jones has been coaching age group children, middle & high school students and collegiate athletes. During the summers in Nashville, he has coached at 7-Hills Swim & Tennis Club, Wildwood Swim & Tennis Club, and for the last 9 years at the Belle Meade Country Club. He also helps at several diving camps and clinics throughout the mid-south region. Current memberships include the Professional Diving Coaches Association (U.S.P.D.C.A.), being a National Safety Certified coach by USA Diving,

  • Hannah Babcock - Head Dive Coach

    Hannah has been coached by Tim Jones since she was in 7th grade up to high school. She has competed in numerous HS State Championship meets such as the AAU National Championships and USA Diving Regional & Zone Championships, before going off to dive at Delta State University in Mississippi. She served as the dive coach at Hillwood CC and as Tim’s assistant coach at Belle Meade CC. She is a certified lifeguard as well.
